In 2019, the 29th China International Bicycle Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as China Exhibition) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from May 6th to 9th. With the theme of “Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Development”, this exhibition will showcase the new trends of the bicycle products’ development today, the new technology of the bicycle industry, the new achievements of electric bicycle’s intelligentization, lithium battery and light weight, and a new concept for human low carbon travel and entertainment. The exhibition will take you into an infinite cycling world!

Sailing against the current and going through the test

After decades of development, China's bicycle industry has become the representative in the world, which has the largest industrial, the most complete industrial chain, and the strongest manufacturing capacity. In 2018, despite under the influence of the large-scale decline in sharing bicycle production, Sino-US trade frictions and EU’s probes, China's bicycle industry remained stable overall. According to the statistics of the China Bicycle Association, the total bicycle production in 2018 was 73.301 million units, decreasing by 17.1% year-on-year; the export volume was 59.272 million units, increasing by 5.1% year-on-year; the output of electric bicycles was 32.767 million units, increasing by 5.8% year-on-year; the export volume was 1.877 million units, an increase of 10.4% year-on-year.

World brands gather in China

The total exhibition area of 2019 China show is 150,000 square meters, attracting 1224 enterprises from 26 countries and regions. The total number of booths is 6,365. In addition to bicycles and parts display, there still are electric bicycle exhibition area, baby carriage exhibition area and outdoor cycling supplies exhibition area. Compared with 2018, exhibitors from Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Thailand and other countries have been added to the list of exhibitors.

Global cooperation and win-win sharing

Among the 1224 companies, the iGPSPORT booth was located in the No. 3 Parts hall with a 36-square- meter special booth. In addition to the product display, the iGPSPORT team members were also attended. The atmosphere there was full of energy. The iGPSPORT team also presented multiple trophies they have won, as well as some meaningful cycling shirts.

Innovation is the best support

The theme of North Hall of this exhibition is “Innovation for Original Intention”. As a traditional industry, the bicycle industry needs breakthrough to start a new life and needs innovation to gain energy. The “China Cycle Innovation Award in 2019” in the North Hall of the exhibition is still a highlight of the show. The selection process has consistently received enthusiastic attention and active participation from domestic and foreign exhibitors in bicycles, electric bicycles, spare parts and outdoor cycling equipment areas. Among a lot participating products, the experts evaluated the products from five aspects (design, function, market, material and innovation). Finally, 50  short-listed products are on publicity in the China International Bicycle Exhibition’s official website( www .e-chinacycle.com ).

Our HR40 heart rate monitor was so lucky to be selected and eventually won the “Innovation Award”. HR40 is a heart rate device launched in the end of last year. It is also compatible with Bluetooth and ANT+ dual protocol. Its Panda theme color is popular among overseas users. Measuring heart rate by accurate ECG, it is commonly used in cycling and running.

Looking at the whole world  Keeping steady growth

This year, iGPSPORT showcased three major categories: cycling computer, heart rates monitor and accessories. As for cycling computer, it presented the upcoming iGS620 as the upgraded version of iGS618. Not only did it add WIFI wireless networking in the hardware area, it also added such as intelligent notification, Live-tracking and other intelligent features to meet more users demand in the software area. As for the third-party software support, the new iGS620 supports Strava and add the synchronizing of Trainingpeaks training software, making training more scientific and effective for post-analysis.

Heart rate monitor area has always been the main developing direction of iGPSPORT. The HR40 and HR60, which were launched at the end of last year, have a great prospect. Not only in the field of cycling, the heart rate monitor can also be used in a wider range of sports, such as running, jogging, fitness etc. However, the HR60, as an armband -type heart rate monitor, offers a new option for users who are more eager to get rid of the constraints, making it easier to wear.

Friends gather together

During the four-day exhibition, iGPSPORT received many customers, some of whom have kept in touch for many years. They met again at Shanghai Exhibition . Some of them came here in order to know more information about the products. More than half of overseas customers found us by a variety of channels before the exhibition. After a series of communication, they placed the order and we became future partner. By building trust, our products will soon appear in more areas around the world. This is our greatest harvest in Shanghai Exhibition.
